Not really a Uro, but....

hbailey Feb 02, 2004 07:09 PM

A close relative. I have a 1.1 pair of butterfly agamas (L. Reevesii). Since they're related to uro's, I thought maybe someone here would have some info. I have had the male about 8 months and the female for about 6. I'm just curious as to how long it takes for the species to mature. My female has never laid eggs, but I have seen the pair copulate. I know the success has been low with this species, but I'd like to get some CBB babies out of them. Any input would be appreciated.

Here's a pic of the male.

I have about 10 pages of info on the Butterfly Agamids from a book titled "Uromastyx and Butterfly Agamids" by Jerry G. Walls. I can mail or fax the info to you. Your animals are beautiful, hope you get some nice babies sometime.
