can some one tell me the best substrate for a monitor.

I need to get my monitor some new substrate. If i can't get some type of soil right now what would be the second best choice.

I would try sandy loam and or what I use. My dumerili seems to like aspen mixed with cypress mulch. I know it's hard to come by this time of year in some places, but down here in TX it's at every store.
Hope this helps.
