ZooMed Nocturnal Infrared Heat Lamp

So I've never used the red "night light" before in Astrid's tank. Tonight is the first night, I see him out roaming but I was wondering since it is the first time this light has been on, can he see that there is light, or no? And is that why he is out roaming? I don't want to bother him.

I don't think that Leo's can see the red light. I've been using a red lamp now for two months and as far as I know, my guy is only active at night....and the red lamp stays on at night too.

That's all I know, really. I've read on here before that they can't see red light. Don't know what kind of science backs that up.
