converting quarts to gallons

woahjoe Feb 02, 2004 09:34 PM

How do you convert quarts into gallons? Or could you give me the measurements? Iwas wondering because I saw some rubbermaids. Would this work for a uro or should I scratch the whole idea? Any help is appreciated.

I use a rubbermaid container for one of my uros and it works out well. I have a see through one because I like giving them something to look at other then black or green! It doesn't have to be see through but it's just how I like to have it. They hold the heat pretty well but it's hard to find a lid for it because you can't use the plastic lid it comes with. If you get high enough sides you can just not use a lid, that's what I'm doing). Size wise, you want it to measure about what a regular terrarium would measure. I haven't measured mine since I got it but it's pretty good sized, but I'm always on the search for something bigger. Hope this helps a little.
