I don’t see a problem with shipping a gravid female. Just be prepared and setup for the eggs and hatchling ahead of time. From your perspective, it’s hard to tell if she has been exposed to an attractive male, if any. Just because she is gravid doesn’t exactly mean she will lay fertile eggs. I’m not trying to get your hopes down; chances are you could have some hatchlings in a few months or less.

I personally like to have a little more control over the breeding process, but I can understand it would be a nice jumpstart for a beginner breeder. It’s important that you buy from a reputable breeder; this will help avoid problems down the road. Best of luck!
