Large toad tadpoles...

bordercollie101 Jun 07, 2003 06:53 PM

Today I found three quite large toad tadpoles in our pond. We think the are American Toad tadpoles. I have them in with a bullfrog tadpole. All have their legs, including the bft. I came in and they where on the 2 bricks i have in there!Theres about 1/4" ontop the bricks...

Any Ideas????

Toads tadpoles do not usually get large, especially in relation to bullfrogs tadpoles. So make sure you check out the tadpoles key below.

I don't have "any idea" what you are asking about. The tadpoles were on top of bricks?

Yea, why were the tads on the bricks, did they problly get stuck or what?

I think that you are a overanalyzing the situation. Who would know why the tadpoles were up there unless they could see the actual set up. Maybe the water is too cold and they are trying to get closer to the warm surface water?
