I was giving some calcium to my leos and I put some on my finger and he proceeded to lick it off.... Seems like a good way to increase geckos affinity for the owner ;p

then he bit me! lol

That’s funny how you both got bit doing the same thing… but I hate to say it’s your own fault. Dressing up your finger to look like a piece of food, waving it front of your leo, what would you expect? Of course I’m going to have to go try it now, to see if I get bit. My fingers feel ignored without any hatchlings to care for.

Paradisio, I hope your leos are doing well, I know you’ve been pretty concerned over the past few days. This just shows that you are a good and attentive keeper; let us know if you have any more concerns.

Just a side note, I finally bought my own digital camera. So be expecting a crud load of pictures tomorrow, and in the future.

You're right, however none of my girls ever bite me and its cool when they lick ya. Bronx is just misrable, always has been. I've done this with my girls for a while with no problems. I dont' wave my finger in front of their face, just hold it still with a little calcium. They seem to explore everything with their tongue, licking everything so i thought why not let them get used to me that way. Works well with them, but i'll never try it with Bronx again. hehehe This was how i got Nala to take calcium when i first got her....she hadn't figured out the bowl thing yet lol

Are you going to be breeding your geckos this year? Do hatchlings bite?

Lol he didn't bite me hard or anything, he is more friendly than my other geckos easily

Bronx gets all flustered if i even walk by his tank.....he might even try to attack me through the glass LOL...He didnt' draw blood or anything but when he bites he just freaks out and tries to get me more and more... I should change his name to Mr. Crabby LOL
