Big Babies?

I recently (the oldest one is three days) hatched out my first baby ball pythons (yay! ;p )and I'm woundering; whats an average size for hatchlings?
these babies are all 16-17 inches and quite chubby. They strike me as being really big but I'm not experienced enough yet to know if this is true... so are these babies average or a bit on the large size?
