What is the right temp?

Becki71 Feb 03, 2004 10:04 AM

I just got my turtle house all set up for the little guy....my basking spot is around 88 degrees and the cool end seems to be around 73 degrees. Is this an okay temp for a 4 week old Hermann's tortoise?

I always suggest a high upper end. 88 is ok but I would think 90 to 95 would be better. The low end is good. This way the toroise can have the greatest choice and you'll see that it will adjust it's temperature through a given day.
