wow, this will be my first time answering sum1's question lol, well, most ppl say that a 40 gallon breeder, is the minimum size tank for a beardie, i have a 50 gallon reptile tank which is 36 X 18 X 18, and as for meal worms as a staple diet it is not recommended b/c of the high level of chitin (sp?) which is basically their shell, high levels of it can cause impaction

1.1 leopard gecko (goliath, gebco)
0.1 hypo red bearded dragon (puff the magic dragon)
0.0.1 schnieder's skink (ghandi)
1.0 white's dumpy treefrog (buddha)
1.0 house gecko (geico) (finally found him)
1.0 rabbit (oreo)
0.1 dogs (kristy)
1.1 cats (joey, tinkerbell)
2.0 goulian finchs
0.0.2 red eared sliders (banquo, kenpo)
A 36x18x18 is a 40G breeder. I think it actually works out to 44 gallons if you do the conversion.
Yes, but if it is a small beardie, you need to pay attention that you are feeding small mealies that are freshly molted. My hypo orange male that I posted a few days ago was raised( and still is) on nothing but freshly molted mealies and greens dusted with t-rex BD VGF.
good luck

very necessary to have a supp such as Trex that is an all around supplement and not just the normal calcium daily and multivitamin once/twice weekly.
Don't you Bill?

I'm not following your logic Rob...the t-rex supps provide calcium and vitmains daily plus other nutrients which should be provided at every feeding. What you said is like saying why feed pellets if you are going to feed insects. I also dust my mealies with the t-rex ICB every time I feed them.

formula. I also thought mealies weren't that nutritious compared to crix. If that's not the case then no, it wouldn't matter. Am I wrong about the mealies?

The only major differnce is in fat content...check out the grubco link bellow. The VGF does have more protien in it than the VMF, but my dragon is still growing so that is fine. I do feed less mealies than I would crix, so the fat content is not a issue for me...I don't even know if fat content is an issue for the dragon...lol. If it were who's to say if 12% is to high?
