I have a small rubber maid that I drilled holes in the top that I take my beardie in. I lay a small towel in the bottom so they do not slip around. I rec. the same for iguanas. How big is your ig?

I have a medium sized cooler that is large enough for a heating pad at the bottom. Then I put a towel over the heating pad. I use a 200 watt inverter so I can plug the heating pad into the cigarette lighter so the beardie stays nice and toasty during the trip. Then at the vets office I just ask to plug it in. I keep the lid slightly ajar so the beardie will get plenty of fresh air but have a nice warm belly.
I go to great lengths for my beardies and I go to the vet often with new rescues. This has just been the easiest way to transport beardies for me. Especially sick ones - you don't want them to get chilled.

Beautiful Dragons
Fortunately my dragons vet is two blocks away and they usually just ride along on my shoulder. Since I live in California temps are not usually a problem for the short trip.
Oh Yeah, I forget about you folks in the colder climates. I am in California too, so I usually do not have to use supplemental heat. If I do I just use one of those heat packs under the towels.
