what happened to the randyrhoads post?

Sam-N-Ella Feb 03, 2004 02:54 PM

I was looking to see if randyrhoads wrote back after he said he was getting rid of his ig and the posts are gone. The whole thread is gone. If you read this randyrhoads I will be glad to take your ig.

They seem to be moderating/censoring the asteriks out of this place lately. They killed Espio05/iguanaboy pretty frequently. I guess they don't need the conflict that comes up after especially stupid posts (i.e hi i'm going to throw my ig outside and leave him there)... Can't really blame them.

Yeah I know what you mean. I'm just worried about the ig. If there was a way to get it here I would take it. That way the poor thing will have a chance.

I agree. I didn't mean to sound like I don't feel for the ig. It's the same w/ that Espio cat. I've barely been hanging out at this forum for a year but there are so many people who end up w/ the same attitude as randyrhoads or whatever the name is. But if you think about it the moderators are probably doing what's best for all parties. You know that randy isn't going to get anything but yelled at after a post like that, which is going to make him hate the ig even more. All in all we live in a stange, sad, embarassing, confused world where people do what they want. Everyone tries to help these people at first but if they want to make things impossible there's nothing you can do. It's a shame for their animals, and probably for anything else under their control. Personally, I hope there is a big duplicate planet Earth out there in the sky with Albert Schweitzer just watching over all the animals, and not a human to harm anything. Really I do.

The guy was calling out for help. I think them pulling the post may have put a lizard's life in danger. I hope he comes back and posts again, he sounded really frustrated but could have been talked through it.

It reveals the depth to which evolution can sink when it takes the downward path and strips animals to the irreducible minimum able to perpetuate a predatory life in its naked horror."

The kid wasn't calling out for help, he was looking for a way out. That is the way children act when they want to shirk their responsibilities and justify their irrational actions. Which is exactly what he was trying to do. I know he was a kid from his many posts about his mom was going to take him here or do this or that. He also state in his last post that the mother thought he should sell the iguana. I feel in cases like this that it is as much the parents fault as it is the child's, if not more. I have children and I would in no means let them purchase something that they were not responsible enought to care for, or that I knew nothing about.

I used to post on here & come read the posts a long while ago but when he started I left. I know I could have simply ignored his posts but I couldn't help but think of all the new ig owners that would have been reading his posts & LISTENING to him.
I respect almost all of the posts on here & I have LISTENED! You people were trying to help which is WHY I came here. His reason???????????????
He acted like a 2 year old. I'm sorry but unless someone got the ig OUT of Randyroads home, I don't think it had/has a chance.
I will continue to read & ask & learn. I asked for advise & I appreciate it.
Thanks to all you iguana lovers out there. Keep them healthy & happy.

Terri~

Yeah, I know what you mean. I can't believe he or anyone would post like that. I knew what you meant about it being best that they took the post off. That would have caused more aggrivation than the iguanaboy/skyline thing. I have talked to iguanaboy about his vet visit and he said it went good. The vet said to change his diet and a few other things, but there wasn't anything wrong with the ig. I hope for the igs sake that he takes the vets advice. He says he has, but ya never know.
He has a uvb light. Lets just hope he buys a new buld for it soon. Anyway thanks.
