Could anyone tell me what the White morph is called....

jbrunk2003 Feb 03, 2004 04:01 PM

Just curious if anyone could tell me what the white morph is called. Also where i might be able to buy one at. I know that they are expensive. I am not really interested in breeding any right now, but could be in the future. Mainly looking for a nice pet. I figure if I am going to put a whole bunch of time and effort into raising a very healthy animal (like i do with all my pets) then I might as well get an animal worth breeding someday if i choose to! Any response welcome and appreciated!!

They are called snow morphs. You will be able to get them at www.dragonsdenherpp.com He has two clutches. One will be hatching on the 21st of this month and the other at a later date. I know this cause im getting 2. You should check it out.

Actually "snow's" usually have a bit of a color tint to them (yellow, sometimes orange) and most have grey patterning to some extent. If you want true white you are looking for what are being called "leucistic". Paul before you even start, I know they are not truely leucistic by the definition but that's what they have been coined so that's what I'll call them for this purpose. They are extremely rare to find for sale. I may have a few for sale late in the summer and I think Dragons Den and maybe Jason at Beardiebiz might also have a few this summer (sorry if I left others out, it wasn't intentional). Expect to pay $500 for this color (or lack of).

Great dragons, and a good price. I'm not sure what I'll be charging for mine, I was just going on what I heard Dragon's Den is going to charge. Also might want to check this link for more http://www.beardeddragons.biz/color morphs.htm you'll have to cut and paste, my linking abilities suck.

I think that you guys may be the friendliest forum posters around KS. I have posted to a couple of other forums for some of my other animals and have only gotten maybe one reply...probably like 2 weeks later!! Keep up the good work! I hope to be adding a beardie to my family shortly... (maybe summer time to wait for a white one!)

Thanx
Joe
