TAMING AN EGYPTIAN

blackbook Feb 03, 2004 05:20 PM

i might buy a 3 yr. old egyptian uro @ 20 inches. he's not very tame at all, tail whips and hisses when you get near the cage. any advice? do you think a uro this old/big could still tame down and any advice on how to go about it. i've always wanted a tame egyptian and would love to be able to tame him down! thanks

I have an egyptian female about the same size, although she is very sweet.

I would say with patience and daily handling, yes you can calm him down and get him friendly.

BUT alot of STICK-TO-IT-NESS
On your part !

I personally would go for it, they are awesome big beautiful lizards. Handle, Handle, Handle he will eventually get used to it ! Good Luck
