My baby GTP has been on the bottom of the enclosure for 2 days, is this normal!?

Hi Everyone,

My baby GTP has been on the bottom of his/her enclosure for the last couple of days. Is this normal? He/She has not left the same spot and is just lying out in the open. It kind of looks like he/she is going through a shed. It would really upset me if he/she dies on me

Background info: I've had this baby for 2 months now. The enclosure is a rubbermaid with criss cross dowels for perches. The heating is by an overhead lamp set at 86-88 degrees (hot spot).

Please let me know what you think...

Thanks,

Susan P.

Try lowering your temps a few degrees. Even in a rubbermade, a basking spot will quickly heat the entire enclosure. try to get it around 82-84. It could be a number of reasons, but the heat sounds a little high for my taste.
