IF you put your hand in the cage it attacks you so you have to whear gloves to pick it up. When you walk br it snaps at the cage and runs around the cage!!! My aunt has had it for a while now and it was never held. could this be the problem?

LOL..I'd say it's a problem.
But, it can be tamed with lots of handling. It may always be a bit jumpy, but can learn to be held.
When I had to use gloves, I just let her bite until she learned it wasn't doing any good.
She doesn't bite anymore...
