These guys are going to be bred this August. She is actually het for pastel so I am really looking forward to one super at least from this pairing.

No such thing as het for pastel. In fact, a "pastel" is the heterozygous form of this allele. The "super" is the homozygous expression. If someone sold you a "het pastel", you need to track them down and get a refund....

Good luck with the "het for pastel"! LOL! I hope you didn't pay for that!

Also, why are you breeding them in August? I realize they can be bred all year round, and I have hatched eggs in every month except January and February, but breeding them in August may not really do anything for you.

No particular reason for August breeding other than the fact that she is just shy of a good breeding weight. At the rate she has been growing I figure she will be good size at around June and I would start the cool down period around then. Then attempt the breeding around August/September. I have bred regular balls before around that time and haven't had a problem what are your recomendations?

There is no need to "get a refund" what I paid for is an Orange Ghost, and that is what I have. The vender I got this one from had a younger kid helping at the show and on the bag she was given to me in it had ORANGE GHOST PASTEL, so checking up on what you said, I got that she is just an orange ghost, and that was a mistake in labeling. None the less, a nice couple to put together.
