eastern indies with no white.

Hi all I'm new around here, but I aquired a pair of eastern Indigos from Drini a little over a year ago, and have been playing with snakes my whole life. Last summer on honeymoon in Fl., we stoped into the Orlando Serpentarium, where I got to meet George Van Horn the owner, who put on a heck of a show, and is a big fan of indigos. After the show he brought out a big male and I held it for a few minutes. This guy had no white on it, that I could see, at all. He [the snake thst is] was absolutely stunning. My question is , does anyone know where I could aquire one like that?

Check with R. Seib, Easternindigo.com.

If he has any luck with the Black Phase this year.

Getting ANY eastern indigo is a challenge any more! Since indigos with a lot of red tend to be in higher demand (although they are ALL in high demand) most breeders tend to call any indigo without a lot of red a "black phase"

A 100% solid black indigo is another matter. I personally have never seen an indigo that does not have at least a very small spot of white under the chin. I have a breeder female that is like that...you can't even see it unless you turn her over and look for it. The big male you held may have been like that.

....or who knows it could have been all black I guess...but I've never seen that. I think the very black indigos are just stunning.

I agree Dean.

I have a little male which shows very little white like yours.

Some with less, some with more.

He has a sm white spot under his throat. Sorry the pic size is out of control.
