Boda 3' normal ball
Snow 15" Snow corn
how long have you had him? if he's new to his habitat he is just a little bit stressed. he may even be a little stressed from you going in and changing his habitat so soon when you took the sand out. new leo's take some time to adjust.

Maybe he's impacted by sand. Is he pooping?
Maybe he's too cold, what are his warm side temps? Does he have an undertank heater? This can happen if you only use a light as heat source.
Maybe he's stressed ny change, or by loud noise nearby (is he is a noisy area of the house?)

You need to get an undertank heater aka UTH, and a thermostat or rheostat to regulate it with. Leos need belly heat to thrive. I have seen a lot of people coming on here with similar problems (leo stays in hide, not active, not eating that well) and the problems go away when the leo is provided with the proper environmental conditions- a UTH.

Usually when they are first placed into a new environment, they will be all active and will crawl around and inspect everything first. They are nocturnal, so you have to expect them to be asleep and hiding most of the day. Also, he needs time to adjust to his new surroundings and feel safe. Good luck!
