First I want to explain that this isnt Dt. I'm a good friend of his, and he entrusted me to take care of his house, dogs, reptiles, and fish while he went to the Superbowl in Houston, then a week of fishing in Fla. Due to my negligence his beautiful corn snake escaped. To the best of my knowledge she was gone for at least 2 days. I cant begin to describe how horrible this made me feel. The snake is actually the pet of his 7 year old daughter and I know she would be devistated. Anyway, as a last ditch effort, I ran a search on your great site for escaped, lost snakes. With the information I got, I set up a hide box near the fireplace with a bowl of water and a mouse. I didnt need it, because after checking places recommended in my search, I found her in about 10 minutes. This wasnt and easy task since his critter room is more like a nano-rainforest. You guys were right. She wansnt more than 5' from her cage. She bit me when I grabbed her, and suprisingly it didnt hurt a bit. I dont know anything about snakes, but she sure lookes no worse for the wear, and she's back home. I am truely grateful for the fantastic resource that is Kingsnake.

Sincerly, Michael
