I read somewhere that beardies relish small lizards, I wonder if anyone feeds them to their beardies and if so what kind.
Thanks

I'd do a search but doing a search on this forum is not easy. For instance, how would you do a search on this particular topic?
Beardie lizard = 87 matches
beardie feed lizard = 6 matches with none mentioning lizards
dragon lizard = 885 matches
dragon eat lizard = 885 matches again
You can see where I'm going here.
Can you please explain to me what it said the reasons were for not feeding small lizards?
Thanks!!!
Rob

It was in a topic called "FOOD!" So yeah it would be pretty much impossible to locate it with a search, lol!
The reason stated was that it is possible to pass on parasites to your beardie if you feed it an unhealthy lizard.

LOL! Almost every topic regarding Bearded Dragons has been discussed over and over again. I don't understand the point of jumping on someone's back over it. Funny thing is I've seen more posts about people wanting to feed their BD's goldfish than other lizards.
Beardies do indeed "relish small lizards": larger beardies will often eagerly prey on babies. Baby and juvenile cagemates will snack on each other too if underfed, or accidently when going after other food. I don't think this is what you meant though.
Ethical questions aside, smaller lizards as prey would seem to be a rather expensive and less healthful course of action. Feeder insects and worms, in addition to greens and pellets would be a much less expensive, and more appropriate and healthy diet.
Best,
Michele
