Hi,
I'm planning to buy a rubbermaid box of some size to temporarily house my 5 ft. Retic. But before I purchase one, I have a question: How should I heat it? Will the plastic melt if I use Under pad heaters?
Thanks for your help,
Darryl

Just place some spacer sticks under the end of the container to be heated to elevate the container above the pad. You never want to place any considerable weight on heating devices as this can cause it to short out and start a fire or overheat the animal and kill it.
In addition to this run the heating pad off of a thermostat that has a remote sensing probe and place the probe into the container on the end over the heating pad. This should work safely.
