Cycling out mice/rats........

Hi,
I was wondering how often everyone cycles their breeders?
I'm trying to get a reliable system going, I'm tired of haveing tons of rats one week.......none the next, etc, etc... : )

I've split my 1.5 (soon to be 1.4) between 3 cages. The female closest to giving birth goes in with the male. 3 days after she gives birth, the male moves to the next most pregnant. If I kept better records I know for sure who that is but unfortunetly all my rats are black with white chests. I haven't been doing it long enough to stablize, so I'm not sure if its working, but they do seem to be stringing out better.

The freezer is my best friend!
