Heating/Light

I recently moved my Red-Headed Agama from a 10 gallon to a 20 gallon tank. She seems to like having the ability to climb a little higher and leap a little farther. However, the only thing I'm concerned about is the lighting/heating setup. I have a basking "clamp-lamp" positioned on the screen over the right side of the tank. During the day, I use a 60 watt Exo-Terra neodymium daylight bulb. At around 11pm I switch over to a 40 watt Zoo Med red night bulb. In the morning I switch them again (These bulbs were recommended to me by the pet store). She appears to be doing just fine. Her behavior patterns didn't really change when we switched her into the bigger tank. Even though she seems fine, I'm just concerned about the long term consequences of an inadequate setup. I've done research on the net, but a lot of the info seems vague. Is this an adequate setup? If not, what could I do to improve it? Thanks.

It's hard to answer such a question, and you are the only one who can really answer it anyway. A picture would help. I would say as long as your lizard is eating well and deficating and is not always under the basking lamp or always away from it then you should be alright. Just kind of "read" the animal and let your lizard tell you if it is good. If problems arise then make changes to your husbandry. Be attentive, because often once problems start to arise, then there is little time to fix them before it is too late. Learn to read the animals.
