about five years ago i caught a baby snapper, but parents wouldnt let me keep it. i hid it in a little container and brought it home to my cousin... hes been takin care of it and now that i am interested in reptiles, i want to make sure hes taking proper care. he feeds it leftover hamburgers and stuff like that, as well as a bunch of goldfish during the week. is this ok? what else should he eat?

Hamburger is way too fatty for a snapper. Tell him to go to the grocery store, and buy a pack of beef heart from the meat dept. Also go buy some reptomin and maybe some mealworms... all can be kept in the fridge and dealed out every other day or so..
