when a humid hide is provided....

chuck420 Feb 04, 2004 06:15 PM

do u need to keep the humidity at a constant 50-60%? if the snake was to use it and everything? also what would happen if humidity dropped? my corn and king, there cages drop about 5 degrees in temp when the lights are out and there humidity mainly stays at about 40 sometimes higher so if i was to provide a big enough humid hide do u think the snake would use it? thanks

i'm not sure about humidity hides because i've never used them for balls. i have glad or rubbermaid containers big enough for them to fit in the I cut a hole in the lid so it's a little wider than the snake & i use that as a waterbowl/hidespot. most of they seem to enjoy soaking. & they seem to take care of business mostly in the water so it makes my cleaning alot easier.

If your snake uses the humid hide - humidity throughout the tank is not as important. Mine won't use one so I have to monitor humidity.
