A question..

hi,
i finnly got the "boa manual" book and i was looking in the breeding section and it said "Most breeders cycle their Columbian boas constrictors in much the same way that burmese pythons are cycled. Typically this involves a one moth period of darkness" So is the book saying that the boa needs to be in complete darkness for a month with no light??
