Snow Leopard Gecko

How common are snow leos? I've seen maybe half a dozen breeders that offer them. I know albey's has some, and they aren't priced nearly as expensive as some of the tangerine or carrott tails. Is that morph just easy to do but not in demand? For as little as I see them, I would think they would be expensive compated to the orange type that are highly priced and in high demand by most people. So would it be easy to breed a snow? Would that be a dominant trait or recessive? So if you bred a snow and a blizzard what would you get? Odd question? Probably, but they are so pretty and no one really sells them.

tell me about it- they're my favorite, and they're really hard to find. anyways- they're not the result of a mendelian dominant/recessive trait (like albinos, patternless, or blizzards). they need to be selectively bred (like tangerines & carrottails) based on phenotype (appearance). they are just less popular than all the orange ones. just wait until red ones, patternless albinos, and blazing blizzards are actually easy to come by (it's only a matter of time)- then everyone will be in pursuit of snows, purples, all-pink albinos, midnight blizzards, and all-black geckoes. hehe. anyways- we're lucky they're less popular, on the one hand, because it keeps the price from going high (like with some tangerines & carrottails, etc.). but it also sucks, because they are hard to find, and VERY hard to find at an appropriate age to be marketing as snows. most breeders like to move their stock as fast as possible, and to be sure a gecko is a snow, it takes time. plus, all of us snow fans know about albey, so his high-grade snows sell out within a few hours of him posting them (it sucked- i was out with friends for a day and missed the one i would have bought last time). good luck!
