I am thinking about housing an argus tree frog and a gold dust day gecko in a tank thats roughly 40 gallons tall. In my tank, I will have a fairly large waterfall with moving water. My question is, will this frog put out any harmfull secretions to the gecko if he drinks the water in which it sits? I can see that this would be a big problem in a small water dish but if this is a large body of moving water I think it may be ok. I also plan to put a small carbon pad on the pump to have it do some filtration for ammonia. Let me know what you guys think of this, I know mixing isnt exactly a preferred practice around here but set that aside for now since I'm not doing this for no reason.
