I have a plan for a waterfall that I want to construct out of potters clay or similar substance but I have a couple of questions. This will be used for geckos and anoles (and possibly a frog). First, will unglazed clay store bacteria? Second, is it overall safe? And lastly if you have any other suggestions for a material other than clay it would appreciated too (I was considering plaster but am unsure of how to work with it or where to obtain it). Any input appreciated, thanks in advance.

I would go to home depot and pick up a bag of tile grout and some polystyrene (version of styrafom) and some acrylic tile grout sealer.
Its what I used to make my fake rock in my Bearded Dragon cage. The link is at the bottom of this post.
Take the polystyrene and cut it into pieces. Shape it how you want and glue the pieces together with liquid nails. Then go over it with tile grout and then when it dries seal it.

I cant remeber the name of it, sorry. It came in a yellow bottle and was right by the tile grout. It was an acrylic sealant.
Next time im at HD ill check on the brand.
