Help with baby leo

CookieSnCreaM Feb 05, 2004 12:33 PM

I have a house gecko that I just got 3 weeks ago and last night I got a baby leopard gecko. I put a divider inside of the cage to split it temporarily but the house gecko some how climbed over it and got to the side with the leo. Earlier this morning they were playing and now they are sleeping together. I was wondering if they could possibly live together.

Well leopard geckos are very social creatures. He probobly wanted a friend. I would not house them together as cross species contamination could occur. For example the house gecko could have a virus and give it to your leo or the other way around. I'd suggest seperating them into different cages and maybe buying another leo in a few months so he has a playmate.

that is right cute that they are sleeping together however they can not live together. i'd seperate them as soon as possible.
