I keep mine in a room that is about 70-75°F and I have heat tape under the rear of the cage that warms it to around 85°. I also don't offer hide boxes any more as my Westerns rarely use them.

same temps here, and its active all day. i have three hides in its cage and it usually never uses them. i do have a clay pot turned upside down that he is under a lot though. usually he sits with his head poking out looking around. the other ones i leave in there just for looks.
