gravid female? when to expect eggs

gecko27 Feb 05, 2004 03:05 PM

i have a female that i think is gravid. she appears to be gaining weight and i think i can see eggs developing. since she is a first timer, will it take longer for her to develop and lay eggs. it has been four weeks. i did not see them breed so this may be speculation. thanks

It seems like it takes for ever for first-timers to lay egds. I have some go that long or longer. Just keep watching her behavior, and when she stops eating for a few days and begins to dig around in the laying box medium she is ready!
