Breeding yellow to red Saharans

UroJade Feb 05, 2004 03:38 PM

i want to get a pair of females to breed with my male saharan and since he's yellow i've been looking at yellow females but the places i feel ok about ordering from dont have any adult female yellows
so i was wondering if theres anything wrong with breeding a yellow male to red females? will they come out some yellow and some red? will i be able to tell what color they are when their small or do you usually know what color they are because of the parents color?

It is 100% fine to breed yellow to red. I beleive you will get orange, red, and yellow babies. You cant really tell what color they are when they are hatchlings, because they are mostly dark with slight highlights. The colors vary a lot. I think if you breed yellow with red the babies will be even more colorful than true red or true yellow saharans. Good luck in breeding them, and make sure you do all your research on breeding before you actually do it.
