Ok I have a baby ARU GTP on order from Ben Siegals. the inform me its eating great and is about double the size of a new born. So I have a temporary acrylic cage set up for her/him and was wondering if it will do. I have attatched a picture below.
My questions are this...
1) About how long is a new born hatchling in inches?
2) The temp enclosure I have (in pic). Will that suffice until I can build a 24L x 18D x 24H. I am using a red 50w overhead heat lamp as you can see. I have temps at around 86-88. Humidity is 70-80 percent.
The only problem I see is that i dont have to much of a temp gradient. Is this going to be a majior issue if it is only a temporary cage?
What temps should I shoot for if there is no gradient?
3) What other methods can I use to heat a cage that size to get a gradient besides a heat emitter?
Any other comments short of an all out flame will be greatly appreciated. O)
