WHO SAID ANACONDAS WON'T BREED OUT OF WATER? THIS PAIR IS IN A HUGE WALK IN CAGE WITH A 250 GALLON HORSE TROUGH IN THE ENCLOSURE. THEY MOSTLY STAY IN THE WATER, BUT I DRAIN IT FOR PERIODS OF TIME DUE TO THE HEALTH ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH SOAKING CONTINUESLY. THE FEMALE IN THIS PIC IS 16 FEET AND THE MALE IS 12 FEET IN LENGTH.

ANY MORE PICS OF YOUR ANACONDAS?

Bill,
Glad to see more captive breeding of greens. To further prove your point, Jud McClanahan and I have produced two litters in the last two years from captive born and raised adults, and have never had any water in with them larger than an 8" water bowl. They definately do not require water for successful reproduction. Are these WC or CB greens and what are their temperaments like? A 12 foot male is one good size boy. Our gestation periods averaged about 230 days from ovulation to birth. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Kelly
