Female Veiled Question

Taikimoto Feb 09, 2003 02:50 PM

My female veiled (~1 year old) has been staying down in the plant soil lately. Is she trying to dig to lay eggs, she has gotten a little bit bigger, but not a whole lot. Should I put fresh soil in there or loosen up what is already there? She eats and drinks fine. Any thoughts?

If you notice her clawing at the dirt she is definatly trying to dig a hole for the eggs.....what you should do is fill a rubbermaid tub with slightly moistened potting soil(with no fertilizers or anything! im sure you kno this but just being safe.) and place the tub in her cage and she will lay her eggs in the tub...hope i helped..
