Is there a site that not only gives a picture of morphs but also...

RedQuake Feb 05, 2004 10:11 PM

a description and/or criteria for that particular morph? I'm looking for something that gives details of what makes that gecko a specific morph, where it started, if its a dominant or recessive gene...things like that.

For example i've now seen pics of both a snow and ghost, but what exactly makes them different? They look pretty similar to me.

Also, i've seen alot of differences in the Tremper strain, like tangerine trempers, jungle and chocolate jungle trempers just to name a few as well as patternless albinos of the rainwater strain. But so far i've only see Bell Albinos...no patternless, jungle etc. Is there a patternless or jungle bell albino?

Thanks for any info, i've just heard back from the breeder i emailed and they will have most of what i'm looking for in a couple of months....i'm so excited....

the patternless strain, jungle, and tangerine strains in albinos are just a homozygous albino homozygous jungle etc. The reason there aren't that many pattern variations in bell albinos is because not that many people breed them.

I've noticed that Bells aren't as readily available as Trempers or Rainwater. I want one of each and so far can only find the rainwater (i have a tremper). Thankyou for your responce and the site.

Groundgeckofreak.com has bell albinos for $75 which is pretty cheap considering sometimes they go for like $150.
Also when at the geckogenetics morphs gallery if you click on the picture of the morph you want to see there is a link to the site that had that morph.
