can I put my turtle outside now

I was wundering wether I canm put my turtle outside now. I am in NC and it is 20 at night, 30-50 day. It has been inside for four years. I am getting my 1st turtle, so any other advice would be helpful as well

Hi there. I'm in central VA, so the climates of our states have much in common.
I would hold off on putting your turtle outdoors until April or so: in my area the last average frost date is mid-to-late April, and you would probably want to make sure your turtle doesn't experience to much of a jolt, as far as temperature changes go.
You could utilize the time from now until then to making any adjustments or improvements to the outdoor set up (or at least planning any), and to making sure everything's ready when the time does come to put it outside.
