Condensation vs. humidity/a fine line

leif Feb 06, 2004 07:10 PM

Well, my viv is coming along. Up until now I was looking at condensation on the tank. Now I finally have a fan and a digital thermometer/hygrometer. Keeping the condensation on the tank down while keeping the humidity is tricky! But I'v got that figured out.

I do have a question about my temperature. It's about 79F towards the top and 75F at the bottom. I'm used to more heat demanding herps and this seems a little cool for me. I guess I just need some confirmation to put my mind at ease....

Thanks, Leif

Temps are fine... you really don't want to have them any higher than that. The thing about dart frogs is that they are not reptiles... but many people want to treat them like one... and this is when the problems occur.
The vivarium looks great, keep us posted with pics as it comes along and matures.
Good luck and happy frogging
