rack heating questions

i am going to build a 6 shelf rack unit... how exactly do you set up the heat tape? and what do i need to buy? thanks

1st: Do you want belly heat? Or back heat? Back heat is much easier to install and cheaper. Next: Flexwatt heat tape is what I would suggest, now there are several sizes: 11 inch wide, 4 inch wide, and 3 inch wide. To secure it down I use either velcro strips or foil tape.

so you just attach the heat tape right to the shelf and lay the containers right on it? it won't melt the plastic or burn the wood shelves? it would be ok to build the whole thing out of 1/2" plywood right?
