Caging Question

Everlight389 Feb 06, 2004 07:52 PM

My last few before I build:

Would a 48'' double fixture built into the top of the tank with 2 reptisun 5.0 bulbs be sufficent lighting for a tegu?

If I had a large Cobra heat mat (like 30x15 or so) under one side of the cage (which is made out of particle board) would that be sufficent heat? Or do I need to supply more? And if so, how exactly would I do that?

your lighting sounds good i did use those till i went to power sun spots does two things for me: gives the UVB and UVA needed by tegus, also porvides the heat i run my lights for 14 hrs and then off this gives them a cool down at night to the 70's it stays in the 90's under the light and they are good about moving to wear they want to be.my Blues and cubans love this set up
