Micro-chipped het piebald owners please note, 2nd notice...

PiedPeddler Feb 07, 2004 12:46 AM

Just thought I should post this again for weekend readers that may miss my post from Tuesday...You should get the AVID number verified and get confirmation of who purchased the microchip. This would especially apply to anyone who purchased from a few different company names or individuals operating in South Carolina. Feel free to e-mail (click on the blue "pfishercuda" above) for AVID 1-800 numbers, email address, and possible lot number for the micro-chip that is implanted in your snake and the reason for concern. Thank you.

How do you go about micro-chipping a snake?

The microchip is maybe the size of a long grain of rice that can be injected under the skin of virtually any aminal. It is being done to ball pythons to provide a more positive ID of "guaranteed hets". However, this procedure can be used by anyone who is willing to sell "hets" under assumed identities and multiple changes of business names, thus leading to questionable authenticiy of the mostly female (most expensive) hets a person might have sold.

Received an inquiry today along with a complaint for not having replied to a previous e-mail. I had not received the other e-mail from this person. If I haven't replied to your message, please try again. Something might not be working quite right with the forum's messege service.
Thanks,
Paul
