acfs taking over the house...

ginevive Feb 07, 2004 07:01 AM

My african clawed frog tads are mostly frogs now. They started out in two ten gallon tanks and now are in three 10-gs and also a 20 gal. My house is being taken over by them! I already sold a bunch off to some (good) pet stores, and am looking to get rid of more.
Just remember, if your frogs breed, tadpoles do become frogs, and space will be taken up!

froggie, LMAO thats funny, but true, have to think of the final outcome.
And how many you may get.
Did you happen to get any pics, now that they are frogs ?

Ya sure did a good job, raising them all

They have all of those babies do that one or two can survive. They did not count on the super care of Ginevive!! Congrats! We'd love to see pictures!

Nope, no natural selection going on here. I had maybe a handful of the tads die, presumably from natural causes or internal defects, and also one was born with one back leg missing and it died after a valiant attempt at life. I guess that if it had lived, it'd be very tough for it to get around.

Hey, I do have some pics, and I should be able to post them by tuesday. These things are so ahrd to photograph, since they swim at the last second before the flash goes off, and on my digicam, I get a picture of a frog-shaped blur.
