Ive had a spectacled caiman for a year and a half now and I keep him in a 50 gallon tank.Hes about A foot and a half. I live in the Philippines where the normal temperature is 81 degrees F.I keep him out doors where there is sun but he hides during the day. Hes diet consists of mice, live fish(occasionally) chicks but he usually doesnt eat the whole chick and meat. I noticed that since I got him around September of 2002, he hasent grown that much although he is very healthy cuz I can see it in his body and tail. And he is very strong. He also has a place to hide( a clay pot cut in half) and dry area(Big flat stone). What could be the problem? Could it be his diet? or his aquarium maybe to small?
