Vermiculite in the soil mix.

Rik Feb 07, 2004 08:41 AM

I know it's a mineral but is it harmful if it is ingested by uro's? I used the shipping grade (used for shipping hazardous materials) in my soil mix and the pieces are a good size. I just built a new, improved, and larger cage for two juvenile ornates and one juvenile saharan. It is 7' x 4.5', I had a large plastic preformed pond laying around that I built around. There is about 18" of soil mix in it. I want to get some feedback on the vermiculite thing first before I but them in it. How about it Robyn?
