forgot to mention...the 2 retics are wc
I would strongly discourage any cohabitation except for the purposes of breeding. I used to keep multiple Burms together and fed them outside their enclosures and then put them back. On several occassions I had one snake attack the other one because the smell of the rats were still on the snakes. Let me tell you seperating two 8' snakes is not an esy undertaking. Also with your snakes being wc then there is a greater chance of them passing any type of communicable disease. I would do everything I could to house the retics separately. Todd
My male retic was housed with a buddy for around 7months. One day for no apparrent reason, he grabbed hold of and started to constrict his cage mate. I was lucky to be in the room when that happened, and he was only around 6.5ft then, but trying to untangle his coils from another snake was still very hard. I have stopped housing together since then. I remember, when I first got my retic, I asked if he could be housed with another, and the response was "he could be fine for months, but at any given day, he could seriously mess one of your other snakes up". I didn't exactly listen and then the exact thing happened. It really isn't worth the risk and as previouslly mentioned, since they are wc, they can pass on diseases to one another. Hope this helps!
