Hi,
Well as cool as all lizards are, and I too have alot of species.

Have to say as far as skinks, personal opinion of course.

The Blue Tongue Skink, I absolutely love mine.

Shes inquistitive, fairly active, and very tame. I have a Merauke faded blue tongue, they get somewhat as large as a Northern BTS which can be up to 27 inches.

I have found her to be an excellent pet.

Wish you luck in your decision. I'm sure you will get alot of answers on this one,

Let us know what you decide on !

I am partial to Irian Jayas myself. When raised in captivity they are very sweet and social.

One of my babies.

Easterns are not very easy to find and cost more than the other subspecies. But Easterns make as great pets as the others. And they aren't particularly hard to breed.

G'day Nick - I take it you're a yank so here's my advice.

Don't buy a blotched unless ur loaded - they cost WAY too much.

Easterns seem to be more lazy than Blotchies - They are a cool lizards and going by the way one of my Male Blotchies had his way with my female Eastern - they are easy to breed. Cool them off and let them Hybernate in winter, warm them up around the start of spring, let them bump uglies, hopefully come Autumn you'll have some babies!

As far as other species - I'm Clueless - I have 3 Blotchies and an Eastern. And am Looking into gettign a friend from Western Aus to bring me over a pair of Westerns.

Reading what i've read on this site, Northerns are easy to get and cheap too. My advice, Buy Australian! :D
