Floaty Frog?

Hazy Feb 07, 2004 02:49 PM

I recently walked into my room only to notice that my poor African Clawed Frog, Jerimiah, was floating at the top of my tank. I thought he was dead, and I felt really bad. I grabbed my fish net, and put it in the water, and he came back to life!! He tried to swim to the bottom of the tank, but as soon as he reached it, he gave up swimming and floated back strait to the top. I couldn't help but laugh at him. Poor frog... He seems healthy besides his buoyency. I took him out of the tank, and didn't see anything abnormal. He was VERY slimy though... lol, he is a frog.

How is your frog feeling? Did he get any better?

Sounds to me like he sawllowed to much air if he is not acting weird or stressed my dwarf frogs just liked to hang out at the top because they were to lazy to swim very far for air. sheesh crazy frogs
