IS this normal when intruducing females

UroJade Feb 07, 2004 03:36 PM

outside the cage my two girls get along fine, so i set up an empty cage for them and im starting to intraduce them, at first they did what i would expect
Pebbles basked and Faranth tried to escape
after i put food in Pebbles the larger one started flaring at Faranth , the most aggresive she got was to step on Faranths tail and bob at her, is this normal stuff that will go away after a few introductions or does that mean pebbles will not tolerate a roommate?

It's normal, and could even get a bit more severe. Neck biting isn't unusual either. Someone will have to establish dominance. They may be just fine and the dominant one will rush over and bite the neck of the other. It may take a while, but eventually they'll be ok.
